Steve Murray & Kingbird at times have a sound that can be compared to The Rolling Stones of the early 70's in terms of melody and that country rock groove. But other influences including iconic artists such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty also bubble to the surface, while not forgetting Murray's Punk Pop roots of the late 70's Manchester scene.

All this combined with his natural Pop sensibility and ability to tell true life stories in an honest yet wonderfully lyrical manner hammered home with memorable hooks make this a band that can offer something for everyone!
